A holistic model of river eco-restoration is put forward herein,and then the stresses from water works on river eco-systems and their mechanism are comprehensively analyzed with a systematical introspection on the traditional planning and design concept and method of the water projects.Furthermore,both the planning principle and the assessment method for river eco-restoration and the technology of the eco-restoration of river corridor are summarized.At last,a demonstration project is briefly introduced as well.
